Bit of a belligerent reply there, but I’ll answer your criticisms anyway. I didn’t ever claim that the film should have been longer, nor that every personality should have a monologue. There was definitely room for more variation even in the runtime given. With Barry there were no real doubts as Mrs ‘I’m here for exposition’ Fletcher explains quite clearly how it wasn’t him, and by the end of the scene little doubt is left. Sure, you could say that in the first scene they have together that isn’t revealed, but then we didn’t know Barry and so were never unsure ourselves. I also don’t think I was particularly generous with the highlights here either, the majority of the review is negative besides the final paragraph and praise concerning the actors – I score based on the successes of the film as a whole, not a game of arithmetic with the good points and bad points. Did you really think this was a positive review?

I also don’t think this review spoils anything major at all, and if you’re referring to ‘the Beast’, he featured in the trailer and so is fair game for comment.

Also the mysteriousness you described with Gollum was in the film…with the character Barry when you had doubts whether it was him or not. Also you describe this as having so many highlights but ultimately give in a 5?

Here’s some advice: Proof-read and if you are going to give a spoiler review, you need to say that somewhere. Journalism 101.
